With the tons of choices of ice cream on the Cape you may miss a place like this. This spot sits in downtown Chatham and is near the end of the town. The ice cream is creamy and they have tons of flavors and waffle cones. The staff is friendly and it hits the spot, however the prices are a bit extreme for Cape Cod and surprisingly high. Overall though great flavors and great tasting.

This is the best ice cream on the Cape. They make it in-house on location, and always have friendly employees as well as some limited special favors. Do not forget to try a milkshake--without question, it is the best shake I have ever had.

Your quintisenal Cape Cod-ian ice cream shop. It's ice cream on a hot day, hence the 4 stars. A bit pricy however, but I guess the season is short. Need to stay in business.

Buffy’s Ice Cream is the best in Cape Cod. We’ve tried most of them, we’re pretty sure we’re right. They have a large selection of flavors but it’s not an enormous list, it’s just right. The waffle cones are fresh and delicious. The lines move pretty fast and the staff is very friendly. One time we had a very small problem with our order, they quickly and cheerfully corrected it. They actually went above and beyond what was expected. We spend our summers in Chatham and we save all our dessert calories for Buffy’s.

My husband and I felt like this was expensive for ice cream that we felt was just okay. We do really enjoy homemade ice cream, and I was excited about some of the more unique flavors. I selected peach and I do believe it was flavored with real peaches and not artificial flavoring, which was really great. However, the flavor was very subtle and after a few bites, it didn't stand out. It was a nice treat on an unseasonably warm September day, though, and the shop is cute.

Buffy's was recommended to us by a staff member, Jennie, at the Impudent Oyster, and I must say it was definitely a good recommendation. I had a scoop of the Chocolate Chocolate Chunk, and am still thinking of it 2 days later. Delicious. It is somewhat pricey at $5.50 for a scoop, but they are also $6.50 for 2 scoops, which is decent for what it is. Stop by if you're in the hood.

Very good home-made ice cream at very high prices. Be prepared to wait awhile as service is slow and lines are long.

This ice cream place is so cute! Many flavors. It gets very busy but they move through the line pretty quickly. Remember to bring cash (I think they take cards with a $10 minimum). My favorite is black raspberry chip.

Really, really, really good ice cream and the staff is very friendly and helpful when you are trying to make your choice. There are also picnic tables in the back for everyone to enjoy there ice cream.

We all loved this ice cream place and all the flavors we got. We tried the coffee heath, mint Oreo, peanut butter fudge, and vegan raspberry Oreo! All of them were amazing and we loved the place! Will definitely visit again!

Amazing homemade ice cream. Loved the coconut oreo and the waffle cone. It tasted so fresh. Social distancing inside and great outdoor seating area. Highly recommend.

Very good ice cream in the heart of Chatham. We went on early evening one Saturday and the lines were not too bad. They have some outdoor seating as well. Overall a great ice cream experience on the Cape.

Stopped by for a lime ricky. Watched them squeeze fresh limes. Intense but refreshing. Just what we needed on a hot day after walking the Chatham sidewalks.

Hours are incorrect online. Website says it closes at 11 PM but they close at 9pm.

There is nearly always a line to get in, but the service is prompt and the ice cream is outstanding. This is a staple of Chatham!!

Quality's fine, though you can totally find better for less on the cape if you look hard enough. My biggest qualm is that the service was wicked slow even though there were like three people there and they messed up our order. Not to mention that the prices are way higher than I could possibly justify paying.
